I gave 2 weeks notice before my CONTRACT ended so I can start a new job, but it falls through.

There is a good chance you will NOT be able to draw benefits. You quit your last job. Just because you new job failed to start is your fault, not that of your last employer

you can collect benefits as long as you did not work anydays from the specific date that you filed your unemployment claim (in illinois) i quit my job cuz i didn't like my supervisor i only worked for 3 months and i got benefits for 6 months it really depends on your state laws

NO-- ya quit. You still can file a claim the only one who has the real answer is unemployment...

Possibly , because you did have a job offer .
But only your UI office knows that answer , ask them .
