I would not recommend getting a loan to pay existing bills, all you end up doing is increasing what you owe.

Don't get a loan. That will just exacerbate the situation. You should definitely collect unemployment. Also, call the creditors that you do have and explain the situation - they are normally willing to work with you. I also recommend a debt agency such as CCCS - they will coordinate with you creditors and in most instances the interest rate is lowered so that you can pay more on the principal.

A loan will just put you further in debt. Hubby needs to concentrate on finding another job and you both need to cut way back on your spending.
Go over your budget carefully and get rid of everything extra -- eating out, cell phone, premium cable and internet, etc.
Figure out ways to bring in some cash -- garage sale, collect alum cans. But forget about those online opportunities. They're scams.

Hon, if you are having problems with finances, go here first:
http://www.daveramsey.com
He will help. He wants NO money, only hard work, and getting rid of credit cards and all debt. It can't hurt to find out what they have to say, right?
Don't get another loan if hubby is out of work. How are you going to pay for it? It will only get you further into debt, hon. Try the site. I think you can find some really good ideas to help you and your family out of this without going further into debt.

both of you look for part time jobs (even if it is a 2nd job for you) - borrowing money won't help - and you probably wouldn't be able to with H out of work
