You cannot get legal help from Yahoo!Answers. The disclaimer at the bottom of the page (click on the word "disclaimer") is very clear about that.

First read your lease or rental agreement. The answer is there.

You can get accurate legal advice from the legal services in your local area. Look in the phone book for Legal Aid.

I wish you the best of luck, you'll need it.

I am sorry to hear about this difficult situation for you. The owner should have made you aware of this before renting to you, but maybe they did not know about the rule, or did not know you had a pet? You could try to plead your case with the association, but it is their job to enforce the rules. Read your lease and see if anything is said about pets. Usually if it doesn't mention specifically that pets are allowed, they ARE NOT allowed. Maybe you could convince the owner to help you with moving expenses since this seems to be their fault for not finding out the rules before renting out their unit. Unless you just did not happen to mention that you had a dog. If so you are probably out of luck: sorry for that.

Are you under a month to month or is their a term left on your lease? Try this site... You should have 30 days before they can start eviction proceedings... and then I know you can ask for more time in court. Don't be intimidated, start looking for another place.. The bank may want to keep you there, you might contact them..

The foreclosure company may not want you to move. Don't panic. Call the company and ask. A notice of foreclosure is not an eviction notice. Good luck.

Unless you have actual eviction papers from a court of law you are still fine! Chances are, you're gonna have to move! Maybe try buying the foreclosure if you like it there!

Given the state of the foreclosure mess ,

Maybe you should make an offer to the lender to buy it ?

You have liked it well enough to stay there 5 yrs already .
