I often wonder that myself....The power of guilt will always hold you back (giving money to the homeless and charities) I suggest you kick a cat or something. You can't be friendly anymore, I had to learn the hard way. Stop before its too late dude!!!

If you're so nice why are you friendless? I won't buy that "people don't like nice guys" thing. They do. You'll get plenty of friends that will take advantage of you. Is this because they're bad people? No. It's because they're human. And there's nothing wrong with being human. You're human too. You will take advantage of nice people too if given the chance. But you WILL have friends.
But.....There's just one tiny little problem with being a nice guy, one that dooms all of your relationships to failure. You. You won't do relationships under these circumstances. Intimacy is just impossible if you can't be a person that stands up for yourself, expresses your feelings, right or wrong. It's just too terrifying. No normal person would do it. You're a normal person and you're not doing it.
So....What's the problem then if you're normal? You probably have a lot of ideas or beliefs about intimacy that just aren't true. You may have been told from a young age that certain feelings you have just aren't right and you shouldn't have them. Or that other people's needs or feelings are more right or more important than yours. You may not have learned constructive ways to express your anger, dissapointment or to complain about another's behavior.
In any relationship with a human being(this means EVERYONE on the planet) there WILL come a time when your toes will get stepped on, when someone will do something and not consider your feelings. It's just the nature of the beast. And don't fancy yourself as above this. How you handle this situation is the key to it all. If you smile and say it's OK, when you're really angry, this will kill your relationships everytime as you will become less interested in them with each event.
So learn to express yourself, not by attacking people but by complaining. Instead of "you ******". Try, "you know, what you said really hurt me" You don't owe anyone anything. You are on this earth for one thing. To make YOU happy. Find out what makes you happy and what doesn't. Experiment. Validate your feelings and the results. Don't say, "well, I don't feel happy but I SHOULD feel happy". If you're not happy you're not happy. Do things that interest you, no matter what other people say about them. No matter what you do there'll always be somebody to say it's not enough or its the wrong thing. Don't listen to those people. Opinions are like *******. Everyone's got one and they all stink. Just don't do things that'll get you beat up or in jail. Those aren't happy things. Hope this helps.

Why are you friendless and nice? Why would you think it would lead to a life of poverty? What does being friendless and nice have to do with being poor? I think, in your case, being weird might lead to a life of friendlessness. Just joking, if you are nice seems you would have friends, even if they were girls
