I'm bored and thinking about my current investments and the future.
I'm 25 and single. I've been with my current employer for one year next month. My base wage is about 33,500 a year with pleny of overtime and holiday pay. I'm currently on pace for $42,000 and work very little overtime, I make what the average household in my area makes. I plan on buying a home about this time next year but aside from that, I'm looking for places to tie my money up so I don't waste too much of it.

Next month I'm eligible for the 401k at work. My employer matches 50% up to 6%. I plan on giving the 6% to take an extra 3% upfront. I've also been sending a couple hundred a month to prosper.com. I love that site! I tried trading stocks but I don't have the time to babysit and keep up to speed. I have a buddy for that anyway. I'm looking for other ideas? Self-directed IRA? What else? Thanks.

PS I plan on staying in the 15% tax bracket this year and next.

I was awarded judgment against a couple who owed me £5000. They applied to have the judgment set aside. The judge found in our favour and side we should now apply for a charge to be put on their property or for bankruptcy. I don't know what todo next.

I just moved in this apartment 1 month ago and before I moved in I had 2 cockroaches inside the cabinets dead already.
So I sprayed boric acid powder pretty much everywhere u can think of 4 weeks ago: on the carpets along the walls, inside all 6 cabinets, on top of my refrigerator, near the door entrance... but I keep seeing them every day.

I TOLD the manager about this problem and she said she would send Orkin exterminator in. They never sent one and been waiting for 2 weeks already. SO, where do I need to report this cuz I really wanna move out now. I was told I need to report this cuz it is unsanitary. My neighbors also said they got cockroaches inside.
Orkin exterminator came 3 weeks ago and was ineffective because the guy came in and just sprayed a bottle 2 times in the kitchen area and left but I have seen cockroaches in there already even with all these boric acid powder.

I have won a lottery from UK national lottery rganiation. To release my fund, i have to pay 1000 GBP. I dont have the money nor a bank account also i live in India and do not have passport. Is there some way to pay this amount, Is some bank give me loan against my winning dcuments.

About a year ago I quit a job that I had at a bank and i rolled my 401(k) over into a traditional IRA (I had <$5000). Now my wife is working at a large software company and has a 401(k) through her employer. When she leaves that job in the future will it be possible to add her as a signer on my IRA and roll her 401(k) into my traditional IRA?

i just got a job at an ice cream parlor and ive been working 6 hours but im worried that they will want me to work 8 hour shifts which seems to be the regular. do you think i should be able to work 6 hours without being pressured to do more? im only 16 and so far 6 hours is pretty tough once the 5th hour is done.

How do you tell your boss that you are finally resigning after 5yrs with the company? Need suggestions, letter, speaking to the boss?
I don't want to burn my bridges.
My boss and our family are close, but he has no clue that I went for another job interview and I just got the phone call today to start the new job! WOOHOO
My boss will either say "go home" or "how could you do this to me", or "you trader" I really don't know how to handle this.
I was his backbone at work.

I put $500 down to hold a car at a dealership. However, I decided not to buy the car anymore and the dealership refunded my money back, which they put it back on my card. However, when I looked at my statements online, I dont see that money being refunded at all. It has been 3 days, what is going on here? Did it not get refunded or what? Thank you for any help you can give me on this. I am trying to refi my adjustable mortgage that has gone through the roof and causing a snowball effect on my finances so that I now have a very high debit ratio. I had a FHA refi already to go except the appraiser must have been drunk the day he did it because he messed it up. From small things not marked right and missing to even being off over 300 ft of the sq footage of my house. He not only came in 20% lower than my tax rate but 10% lower than what I owe on the house. Of course this ruined that loan. Since then more bad luck of my new lender getting in trouble with FHA and my file restarted for a 3rd time in as many months. Now my credit score has dropped 150 points from May and I most likely am not getting the refi. This is going to cost me my home not to mention my marriage due to the stress. All this due to a bad appraiser. Do I have any legal recourse on the guy that can not even measure a wall? I live in Illinois.

My boyfriend has established excellent credit from a young age, he currently has no credit cards. We've been house hunting for YEARS and we are finally close to closing on one, been working with mortgage people and everything has been fine. Cut to today and the mortgage company "runs the numbers" and he is showing up with a score of ZERO! Absolutely nothing! I can't even find any information of this ever happening, nor anyone who it has happened too. The mortgage people are "on it" but I am way to curious, what the hell happened here?
