I just moved in this apartment 1 month ago and before I moved in I had 2 cockroaches inside the cabinets dead already.
So I sprayed boric acid powder pretty much everywhere u can think of 4 weeks ago: on the carpets along the walls, inside all 6 cabinets, on top of my refrigerator, near the door entrance... but I keep seeing them every day.

I TOLD the manager about this problem and she said she would send Orkin exterminator in. They never sent one and been waiting for 2 weeks already. SO, where do I need to report this cuz I really wanna move out now. I was told I need to report this cuz it is unsanitary. My neighbors also said they got cockroaches inside.
Orkin exterminator came 3 weeks ago and was ineffective because the guy came in and just sprayed a bottle 2 times in the kitchen area and left but I have seen cockroaches in there already even with all these boric acid powder.

call the section 8 housing - get some pix of the cockroaches and collect as many as you can and then take them in a plastic bag to the housing office and put them on the desk. if that doesn't do any good, call the board of health. Section 8 housing cannot allow their tenants to live in such squallor conditions. Don't give up on this one - and when they finally do spray make sure they spray all the apts in the whole building or they'll just run there for safety and come back when you r apat is neutral. Good luck. don't give up on this one.\

I agree with the other lady before me. Talk to your social worker for section 8, I used to work for a company that allowed section 8 and I talked to the people that came to check on the apartment after the tenant moved in, I mean we had to be on top of their apartments more then the other tenants that were not section 8 because they had set standards to make sure that just because you are getting assistance you are not living in a piece of junk. You can also call the Housing Authority I think, they might be able to help you. But just remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Just make sure you stress that the whole complex needs to be sprayed, or even tented and sprayed if necessary. Good Luck.

Are you leaving food around? Dog Food? Cat Food? If you are, all of the spraying in the world won't get rid of the cockroaches.

Your post is inconsistent...first you say Orkin never came, and then you said they came 3 weeks ago...so did he actually show up or not?

You need to figure out where they are coming from and you are not spraying in the correct areas....you need to look for openings, like electrical outlets, plumping, etc.

Call your landlord again, and then call HUD...however, make sure that you aren't leaving anything around to attract them.

Apparently Boric acid doesn't work that well. Ask the land lady if you can bomb your own apartment, In fact ask if you have to ask the agent of the welfare department if you need to notify them first, see what she says.
She doesn't want the welfare involved I'm sure. It's not a threat, it's a question, you hear? maybe that'll jack her up.

Section 8 inspected the unit just before you moved in, what happened?
What do you expect for free?
