I have many outstanding balances on credit cards and cell phones, and an old electric bill that are all in collections. I currently have 4 open credit cards.
I want take care of them all but I can only afford to pay the current ones so I don't get further in debt. Is there any agency that can help without giving me a huge monthly payment...I'm barely getting by with what I pay now.

Thanks!

A company gets a product from an international supplier in a very large contract. As part of this deal, the supplier signs a deal with the company not to employ any of their staff. A job comes up with the supplier with good wage, good prospects and career progression, that an employee within the company hears about, is more than qualified to do, and is very eager to take.
The employee is however blocked from applying for this role by the people he works for, and the supplier are nervous about any repercussions taken by the company as the contract is very large.
Is it legal for the company to block an employee from applying for this job? The employee is not being poached, hasn't been guaranteed anything and was unaware that such a restriction was in place. The company is therefore controlling the future prospects of the employee without their knowledge.
This surely can't be legal? Is this breaking any human rights/employment law?

Proper answers please. No stupid stuff(for once)

I went to a job interview today. It went okay. Not spectactular. Anyway, the lady I interviewed with said that her people work 50 to 60 hour weeks and that "you can't get rich with a 40 hour a week job". I didn't say so outloud, but I wondered if any of those people were married or in relationships or had kids. I love my man too much to take a job where I'm always at the office and I'd never get to see him. Maybe I'm not cut out to be rich.

A year ago, I closed my business and I'm now working full-time for a company.
My take home salary was reduced 50%.
Just a few weeks ago, my old business debts transferred over to my personal debt.
I used my credits to pay for the loans and increased my credit card debt.
I have Ameriprise and have annuity and a VUL with them which was set up long
before I knew any better.
My gut instinct is to cash these out and pay my credit card debts worth over 40k.
What do you think? comments and suggestions welcome.
thanks.

Meaning, If I hadn't purchased the duplex I could've use those monies to invest in other areas or other property. What is the valuse of my lost investments?

I am single and normally withhold 1 allowance. However, I have been having money problems this past month. I was wondering if for one paycheck, I can up my allowance from 1 to like 3 or 5. I did some calculations and this would give me an extra $100 on my paycheck. I would then switch it back to 1 for the rest of the year. Is this a wise choice or will it end up hurting me at the end of the year?
