Do you wait to find another job, do you wait until probation it over, or do you just quit if you hate your job?

As soon as you find another one. You might want to put in two weeks notice though.

Why waste anymore time. You could be looking for a new job, I would usually wait until I had a new one lined up before I quit, but depending on how crappy your job is (and since there is no way you will get a ref if you quit during probation period) just stop showing up. I've certainly worked at enough food jobs where people who couldn't deal did just that, they just stopped coming in.

I mean who cares, what loyalty do you owe some crappy conglomerate who only pays you diddly squat.

If you have a habit of jumping from job to job, I'd tried to stick it out a while. And I'd definitely wait until you've found another job.

If this is the first time you are leaving a job, still find another job but leave when you do. Just know that the grass is not always greener.

For me, this is how it works:

1) If the job has no prospects - wait until I find the next job

2) If I don't like the job but the people treat me nice and with respect - I'll tender but leave only until they find a replacement

3) If I totally hate the job, no matter how good the other factors are - tender immediately and leave. Curse the job!

Depends. If you need the job and money stay while looking for another, otherwise do what I did. I worked one day and I still say that was too long. I worked at detasseling corn. Ugh. The only reason I stayed that long was because I was 14 and had no way home.

Personally if I really don't like a job, I will find a job at the possible time and then just tender my resignation. I feel that the longer I drag, it will affect my performance on my job and that could leave a bad impreesion to my current employer.

It's best to have another job lined up before you quit. then you leave a "2 week" notice to your boss that you wanna quit, (you work for 2 more weeks)-that way you'll get a good "reference". unless you walk off the job in the middle of a shift-I did that at a job cause my boss was mean to me for weeks & I couldn't handle it, but I had a job lined up.

In my opinion you should stay just long enough to find another job. Unless you don't have a need for money, then you should leave now.

I started a job one morning, went to lunch and didn't come back. It was a pawnshop that was soooo dirty I couldn't stand it. I spent the whole morning cleaning and no one else seemed interested in helping
