That is absolutely a fraud. No legitimate lottery ever ever needs money up front to collect your winnings. No legitimate lottery needs your banking or credit statement in order to send payment. and no legitimate lottery ever sends notification by email. Take a few minutes and type 'internet lottery fraud' or 'lottery scam' into the search window, and you'll find plenty of information on this common scam.

If you never entered into a lottery or bought a lottery ticket then there is no chance that you ever will win. Those emails, regular mailings and everything else stating you won a lottery that you never entered are all fraudulent. Never, ever, ever send them anything or any information about yourself. You will lose whatever money you send them and you risk the chance at Identity theft if you give them any info about you.

It's a total fraud. Once you give them your credit card # for the processing fee you will never hear from them again. And good luck getting your fee back. Don't bite on that one.
