I wish I understood this concept better. Saw an article in the paper about a way to make money if you have good credit and some credit cards. The company name is ICB credit investors. They hook you up with people who need better credit to buy a house. Somehow you make money at no risk by letting these people with bad credit "rent" your good credit????

I am sorry that this is such a long post, but PLEASE read it and help me out, I really need opinions.

I work at an expensive sunglass store where the manager is my boyfriend’s sister, Stephanie. We count the sunglasses every morning and night on daily count sheets. I warned Stephanie that the counts done by other employees were extremely inaccurate. She is relaxed and let it roll off her shoulders as she was more concerned with sales than with the count.

An incident occurred where an employee was stealing. Because of that, Stephanie cracked the whip & wrote two people up, & I received a "verbal warning" because although I clearly marked shortages on the count sheets, I did not "verbally" tell her. She faxed the write-ups to the district manager.

I told Stephanie immediately that I found it unfair that I was even receiving a "verbal warning" as I had warned her many times that the count was off.

Please tell me:

I already transferred my home on 1996. I was reading about
property tax increases in California and saw that a change in ownership can trigger a higher tax!
I am very worried! Can I be reassessed after all these years?

I have had 8 items removed from my credit that were at the point that they were either more than 7 years old or the company was no longer in business and there wasn't anyone to confirm the debt with. I wrote the credit reporting agencies a letter to get these removed. And now i am at the point where i am wondering how long it will take before my credit scrore starts to climb UP because of this. I still have stuff on that i am making payments on, I am just wondering when my credit will start to benefit from this.

I'm about to receive a small inheritance of about $25,000 from an aunt who recently passed away. From what I understand the taxes on that have already been paid via the estate. However, I wish to give my mother the check for $25,000 because she paid for the cost of my college.

Obviously college cost me a lot more than $25,000 but we do not have an official contract written up since we're family. Will giving her that money be subjectible to a gift tax or is there a way around this since its to reimburse her for the cost of my college tuition?

I realize anything more than $11,000 can be taxed, but I also realize that tuition is something that is exempt to this so I'm not sure how to go about this.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm looking for a legit site that pays at least $2 to $5 for each survey I do. I know I'm not going to get rich doing this but I just want to make a few easy bucks. Real sites not scams, and free to take surveys, and give me one that has a lot of surveys to fill out,not just a few. I want one with a lot to do. Thanks.

Hi all,
I work for a multi-national company and am currently on a 3 month 'career break' while I complete my university studies. I stopped work on the 16th of April and was paid up until then. To my surprise the following month on pay day I was again paid my full-monthly wage but I hadn't worked a single day! I am due back at work in July and was wondering what would be best? Should I tell them now or wait till I go back to work and maybe earn some interest on it? Any suggestions or legal rights would be great! :) Have a good day!

Hey I have an interview for an internship with this company that has a federal site. The job description says "This position requires onsite work at restricted federal government facilities and as a result, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement of the job." I would be a business/systems(operations) Engineering Intern for them. I was just wondering what kind of security clearance I would expect to get? confidential? or Secret? thanks again for any insight.

Flat Tax - taxes your income. You pay a fixed amount of tax (e.g. 19%). You might have to pay payroll taxes. You may not get deductions from mortgage interest payments. Flat tax doesn't get rid of other hidden taxes (i.e., social security, medicare, gasoline tax, sales tax, tobacco tax, alcohol tax, property tax, etc.). You may still pay capital gains taxes as income.

Fair Tax - taxes only when you spend (19-23% sales tax paid once). You don't pay income taxes anymore. It gets rid of hidden taxes such as social security and medicare. It gets rid of capital gains taxes when you sell your house or when you save your money, or when you invest your money. It lets you keep your entire paycheck (you pay no payroll taxes). It allows you more money to spend. It allows you to save money without any taxes on your savings. It also doesn't tax used items (eg. used cars, eBay items, etc.), and gives you rebate on necessary items (eg. food, clothing, etc.) http://www.fairtax.org

Should I call them about my application? When should I call? I really want this job and I want to do every possible thing that will get me it.
