what is the best way to end a conversation with a stranger?
e.i. when i'm at a dealership and the salesperson turns down my offer, what's the best way to end the conversation so that i can just leave?
one example coule be "Well, thank you for helping me out or Thank you for your time" - are those good enough?

Also, when you meet a stranger at the mall and you guys are having a short conversation, how do you end it? so that you can leave without being rude.(sales associate or someone who is interest in you)

I have a business idea, and I know that there is a patent in the US for a similar idea, and also a patent in the European Union for another similar idea (a lost and found system).

Please note that I am *not* looking for a patent for my idea.
I am based in Switzerland.

I just would like to know:

1-am I infringing any of both patents (or another one) if I go on with my idea?
2-what would be my risk if I go on with my business idea?

Note that I have limited resources to invest, so I should find a reasonable way to find out...

Thanks for the guidance..

If you could leave one task on your desk at 5pm and have it magically completed by the time you arrived at work the following morning, what would it be?

I might have to move to New Zealand in the near future and would quite like to earn a UK salary while I'm there, and I'm thinking that there must be an information-based or email-able service I can offer to UK companies on an overnight basis.
I have a couple of ideas of my own, but I'd be interested in hearing your wish lists.

If you work at a restaurant/bar etc and get tips, the government can't and won't tax your tips I was told.

But is it different with strippers since they get up to a thousand dollars in a night in tips?

Whan applying for the FAFSA... the tax return is required. However, is it possible for a person to file separately, though still married, and could a student use the parent, with whom they're living with, although the parents not divorced, as their only source of income?

I have worked with this company for 8 months, and I submitted my PF withdrawal form last November. They told me that I should get my money latest within 6 months. May has gone, still no sign of money, so I gave them a call, and they tell me they have lost my PF form, and I need to fill that again, and wait for another 6 months. Have any of you experienced a similar situation, can you give me any piece of advice as to how I should deal with this situation without letting the company get away with it?

Any help/suggetcion will be appreciated.
Thanks

This is a question for my mom who is in Europe right now. She is a retired Missouri Probation & Parole officer, her previous landlord is trying to keep her deposit. She lived in this house for three years and got along great with them. Everything was fine until she moved out in Apr. 2007. Her first lease was from May 15 2004 to May 14 2005, she entered into that contract on Apr. 28 2004. The second lease was from May 1 2005 to Apr. 30 2006 entered into on Apr. 28 2005. Now all was good until she wants to renew for a third year and come Apr. of 2006 she asks them for months where's the lease I need to sign. She asks this Aug. 2006 when they finally give it to her. The third year lease entered into on Aug. 4 2006 is from June 1 2006 to May 31 2006. That is what screws her up. She trusted that they would make it the same dates as before and not looking at it, she signs it. They are saying now that she moved out one month early by moving out the end of Apr. Does she have a case?

My husbands job is transfering us to a city 7 hours away from our hometown, and we are looking at homes for sale. But mostly all we can find are homes built in the 70's. Alot of them are fixer uppers and need a lot of remodeling. Would it be a waste of money to invest in an older home and fix it up?
