I am a 28 year old student with 2 more years to earn B.S. in Civil Engineering. I don't work, no professional experience, been at home mom going through a divorce. Will be full time student with maybe some part time @ school. Money from sale of our home. As of now, income will be child support and alimony around $2000. I have 2 children under the age of 7. Currently renting and no assets and no debts. Would love to travel. Simple, nature lover and have passion for learning and experience. Future is uncertain, not set on any specific goals. Kind of on the whim type of person.

What advise can you give me?

So you're behind on your storage payment, and are getting notified that your stuff may be put on auction later in the month. Are you allowed to just go to said auction and try to win the contents of your unit, and be off with them?

My exact apartment in a better location within the complex is being offered for $75 less than what I pay. I just moved in less than 2 months ago.

When I inquired, I was told that unit rented for $675, but the ad says it's $600.

I received a notice in the mail today from the bank, telling me that I will be charged a $5 per month inactive fee on a savings account I haven't used since I was 11. My questions are, since it was a joint account (because I was a minor when it was opened), will I need the other person's consent and/or signature to withdraw the money from it?

Also, if I withdraw all of the money from it, will that close said account?

I just tried to apply for a credit card. The company denied me and said that I had no revolving accounts with a balance. What does that mean? I have two credit cards already and I am not sure why I was denied. Any ideas?

If I sign up for the 401K Retirement Plan through my current employer, what happens when I quit and find a new job?

Will my as-to-date savings in 401K be transferred anywhere I go...I mean, like will I still have the plan or does it cancel because I quit?

I am between filing for a bankruptcy and simply hoping to fix my credit.

I have had two judgements against me that I could have contested, but I was out of country then, and have another one coming up (credit card debt).

Does it make sense to have to sleep with no peace with all these debts? When a bankruptcy can just clear them away? Since I already have two judgments on my report, what more harm can a bankruptcy add? Its already BAD enough!

Please advise? And which of the bankruptcy chapters is better for an individual? Does it also clear Private School Loans? Or even Federal school loans?

I had a company contact me today and said they got my number from my resume posted at Hotjobs. com. The lady said that her company was hiring entry level mortgage processors and she wanted to know if I was interested in an interview. I told her I was interested, and she gave me all of the details. At the end, she said I would have to bring $200 in the form of cash or money order for some sort of mortgage processors fee (or something like that). HUGE RED FLAG!! Why would you ever need to bring money to a job interview? Is there really a certification cost that mortgage loan processors have to pay? It all sounds like a scam to me and I'm not going to go to the interview.

I'm trying to see which would be best for personal use. I've had a little trouble in the past with Money because it doesn't seem to give much ease-of-use when it comes to refunds and/or rebates.

Any help is appreciated.
