Every where I look they want credit card info! Is there anywhere that you can just browse around for free?

Only a licensed realtor with access to that registry can do that. Everyone isn't provided with such access.

Here are a couple sites that are free but limited. The first is VA repo's they do have a vender financing program too, you'll need to read up on the details but they offer 5% down, low closing, and they are open to investors. Now, the only problem is most of these you will have to put into for restoration but, usually that is the case for most repo's anyway.
The second is HUD and the homes will go to home buyers whom will be living in the house, this site also has some bank owned properties too.

Supposedly, remax.com or some of the other national realty websites.
Also, many cities have a link to such sites for their city; after all, they are always wanting to increase tax revenues.

a real estate agent is free to buyers and they have a listing service that has several of them. just don't sign anything until you are sure you want to work with them. I work with several good agents if you want or choose your own.
