Yes, it is a SCAM!!

Run as fast as you can. Any buyer on eBay claiming to be from Nigeria is a SCAM.

Log into your PayPal account directly. Make sure you check the addresss.... it should say https:// - no other variation. Scammers from Nigeria are very resourceful and copy a PayPal page exactly except for the address.

Do Not SEND ITEM!! You will send it, and the Paypal payment will automatically disappear or be charged back, leaving you with no money, having to pay PayPal back, and no item.

Please log into eBay and click on the Answer Center. Tell them exactly what you told us here, and they will give you detailed advice on what to do next.

Good luck.

Not to say that it's automatically a scam because someone from Nigeria wants it, but if you're not sure whether the person provided fake bank info. or plans to bounce the payment, contact Paypal and ask them how they confirm their accounts.

If something doesn't seem right, withdraw your item. Always go with your gut.

If paypal confirmed it, then yes, I think you will be OK.

Maybe you should contact Paypal about it before you go through with the deal?

Most Nigerians are really poor. If this Nigerian really had 250 US dollars, that would be worth almost 32,000 in his country.

He probably got the money from money laundering and then he going to take your product and sell it on the black market. OR he works in an organized crime where they steal money from victims. So I would deny his bid.

Go back and change your financing options to Paypal only. It will eliminate most crooks.

No! absolutly do not. He will ask you to send him the difference. And the origional check from him will turn out to be bogus. Don't send anything!

He is going to pay you with forged cashiers checks. The checks will bounce and you may have to make it good.
