If you could leave one task on your desk at 5pm and have it magically completed by the time you arrived at work the following morning, what would it be?
I might have to move to New Zealand in the near future and would quite like to earn a UK salary while I'm there, and I'm thinking that there must be an information-based or email-able service I can offer to UK companies on an overnight basis.
I have a couple of ideas of my own, but I'd be interested in hearing your wish lists.

Steve B, I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. I know that salaries and the cost of living is higher in the UK: that's why I want to earn a UK salary whilst living in NZ.
I also don't want something to make me money whilst _I'm_ asleep, it would be work I would do during the working day in the Southern hemisphere whilst my clients slept in the Northern hemisphere.

I'm doing my work experience at the moment and the head of the department is considering exactly what your wanting to do. They are contemplating emailing and faxing blueprints and other architectural drawings to far away countries such as New Zealand and Australia so they can finish off adding the measurements and minor details to them. You would need a qualification in CAD (Computer Aided Design) to do this though but it is extremely simple work to do once you get the hang of it. So if that floats your boat you may consider that.

Don't kid yourself = UK cost of living is about double NZ = so you get paid almost twice as much here ...
NZ $ to £ is about 2.5 : 1... so a job in NZ that's pays NZ$50,000 a year looks really good = until you realise that's only about £20,000 ...
Still, at least a detached house on the Auckland bay waterfront at NZ$500,000 is only £200,000 = with a bit of luck about the same as the equity in your London broom closet :-)
NB. About the only web based business to make money whilst you sleep == porn sites :-)
