My husband and I are looking to buy our first house. We have found a few foreclosure's we like. We are wondering what do we offer on it. They are nice homes and homes in that area are selling in the range of $180,000 - $200,000. The two homes we are looking at the bank's are asking $180,00 0 for one and $170,000 for the other. One needs a little more work then the other. So my question is, how low should our offer be if we were to make one? Someone told us 20% but I thought that was really low. Now I live in Michigan where there are lots of houses for sell and it's really a buyers market here. Oh, both of these homes have been on the market, in foreclosure for 3 months now if that matters. Thanks for your help!

Im 23 and in the midst of a job hunt. I have held an office-desk job twice already and have decided to find something more exciting. My degree was in Management.

Besides monster.com, craigslist.org, careerbuilder.com and hotjobs.com, is there another site you can recommend (and one without temp agency listings)? I live in NYC.

Any help will be greatly appreciative, thanks

Does anyone know or work as a stocker broker and can answear this. My neighbor was arrest for assault and battery this past weekend, and monday the Judge signed a warrant for his arrest for Criminal Trespassing. These are misdomenor offenses but will be on his criminal record if found guilty. He told the Judge and police he was a Wall Street Broker, we live in SC. The Judge that issued his bond and signed the warrant said he was really worried this could cost him his job. I want him to know I am taking this serious and sounds bad but I would love to see him lose him license. Anyone know if that might happen or was he just tring to get the Judge to feel sorry for him.

Also is their anything I can do to speed this up, I am guessing that any license he needs is a matter of public record. But thats a gues.

I am considering going back to school to become a nurse practitioner (a Masters program that allows non-nurses to get their RN and then MSN) or going to a Physicians Assistant program, also a Masters. I think I can get into the NP program but iffy on my chances of getting into the PA program. Does anybody have advice on which direction I should choose and why? I am looking at Wisconsin's Marquette's Graduate School of Nursing and a PA program in Illinois at Rosalind Franklin University. Anybody familiar with either of those programs? I see a lot of jobs overlapping for PA or NP but I want to be respected by MD's/DO's and I am not sure how they feel about NP's over PA's. Thanks for your input.
(By the way, my over GPA is a 3.1 and my science GPA is a 3.3) I have not taken the GRE yet.

I was signed up to go on a long range fishing trip with a company that runs these trips all the time. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the trip, after making a $900 deposit. When I called to cancel, though, they told me it was 85 days before the trip left, and they have a 90 day cancellation policy, thus they would not refund one cent of my deposit. Can they legally keep my money? I admit, their policy was printed on the invoice they sent after they received my money, I just hadn't seen it, nor was I told of this policy at the time I paid them, just when I got the receipt. Help!!!

I'm always skeptical of filling out the affirmative action form, because I feel it waves a sign that says "DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ME PLEASE" :\ Does anyone know the reality of these EEO sections of employment applications. Should everyone just be putting "other" so they don't get discriminated against?
