One do not micromanage have faith that the people that do the job everyday know the job better than anyone else. If they make a decision during a problem tell them they did a good job, do not belittle them because they did not make the decision you would of. Treat them as equals, and above all respect them and their opinions, that will garnish you respect.Ask their advice in situations, when something goes good and you are told so explain that it could not have been done without the workers help and let them and management know that, on the other side if something goes wrong, you accept all the blame. What you are doing is building a team and believe me they will back you and do the impossible to help you because of your attitude, your trust, and your bakig of them

Never cirtize your people infront of their peers, or others. Remember the people who work for you are probably parents or grandparents that get respect at home and they deserve respect at work.
