i recieved a card months ago, but threw it away bc i didnt want it, now i do and i tried to apply for another and they won't accept my application b/c i already have an account with them. How do i tell them about my situation online? is there a login that i should have... orrrr what do i do now?

Call them but you will not be able to cancel why because capital one charges $39 for the 300 limit card, and if this was a few months ago, you are already late. DO not deal with this company in addition because they never report your total credit line, just what you used which keeps your credit rating down. You might have taken a hit on this one call them and get is straightened out quick. Then get your credit report and find out

i had this same situation happen once years ago with discover.
i discarded the card. some time later i bought a credit report that listed it as an active acct. called the 800 number on the back of a flyer i got for discover. cleared it up and got the card. sometimes it is better to talk to a live person than to do it online.

Was the card an actual CC or an offer for one? I'll assume it was an actual CC. Call them up and tell them you lost the card. They will send you another. you should know your account number.
