I am looking for an apartment and someone told me to be sure that I don't have any rental judgements. (Specifically "judgments or debts for money owed to landlords")

Please tell me:
WHAT ARE CONSIDERED RENTAL JUDGEMENTS OR DEBTS OWED TO LANDLORDS?

They are speaking of legal judgments lodged against you by previous landlords for non-payment of rents, damages exceeding security deposit, and so forth.
When prospective landlords check credit files, that's the first thing they look at. If you've abused a previous landlord, don't expect to be accepted by another. When one landlord gets burned, the next one is much smarter.

anytime u left owing money more than what your security deposit covered. it would be listed on ur credit report as a rental judgement/eviction. so if u ever had any disputes with past landlords they prolly would have tacked this on to your credit report.
