I just worked a few days at a retail store around Christmas. I have everything I need but their w2 and I know they take a long time to get to me. If it was only $200 do I have to include it in my return?

I have 3 kids and my friend said i should let her claim one of them because they only let you claim 2 for the child credit, which she says is where most of the money will come from. She said she will split with me what she gets for the one...what do you think?

My 77yo father with pretty serious medical issues is living with my husband and I. He pays 100.00 rent out of his SSA of 800.00. He has medical through the VA, so no extra medical costs . He uses the rest of his money to pay his internet, phone and vehicle insurance and his grandsons space rent (which is his old home before he moved in with us). I supply his home, furnishings, toiletries, meals and care. Can I claim him as a dependent. It costs me time and energy and $ to have him here but not sure if he is considered dependent. I have read the irs description but not sure if I provide more than 50% of his support.

I'm opening a new business and would love some feedback on what women are looking for in skincare/makeup salon. What would make your experience relaxing & make you feel uplifted?

I want to provide affordable products and offer a place for the average women to feel pampered and build self-esteem without breaking the bank.

Thank you!

We have found our dream home and it is being sold by the owner because her husband just died. We have been looking for a home with a realtor for about a year without any luck, and with much frustration. We have agreed on a purchase price with the owner and have agreed to purchase the home as-is because they just recently had a bunch of work and remodeling professionally done.
So my question is... How do we go about buying this home without a realtor? Who do I contact first? I have a lender who I have a preapproval through. This is our first time buying and the seller isn't sure what to do either. Any info would be great.

I recevied a bonus last year and they taxed it before hand as bonuses should be taxed - that's what I was told. Now, I don't see this bonus amount indicated specially in any way on my W-2 - it looks as though it's been lumped into my total wages. Does that mean that the bonus taxation has be lumped into my federal income tax witheld?

Should I use the 1040 non-EZ to specially indicate the bonus? It was taxed at a very high rate and the controller told me at the time that it could be refigured at my filing time to take into account exemptions.

A little lost, can't afford an accountant.

So here's the deal...

I work 30 hours a week, but due to short staff I have worked a slightly odd shift.
On friday nights, I am scheduled to work a 4pm to midnight and then come back to work at 8am the next morning and work until 4pm. Would this be considered overtime given that I only have an 8 hour break before my next shift?

This is the third week in a row that I have done this for this month and I have done this numerous times over the last two years?

Also, I mentioned to my manager that I recently found out that I am pregnant and since then he has not modified the schedule.

I've been researching the california laws of labor, but still cannot tell if this applies to me.

Thanks.

My other half says no, you have to just pay the cash, but I think there must be a company out there that would provide a loan or mortgage? If anyone knows please reply!

I want to purchase a home, but, I am curious if it is feasible in purchasing a home that the windows are boarded up and the house is surrounded by a tall fence. There is no for sale sign in the yard. I have passed by this house for one year and there is no sign of it being fixed up. Is this something I should investigate further or am I just wasting my time.? Knowledgeable answers please.
