I am working as a executive manager at a company that represents a world wide brand .

I recently sold my home. The price I paid for the house was $162,000. I sold the home for $164,000. However, I had a second mortgate. Thus, I ended up having to pay $2000 at closing to cover the second mortgage principal remaining. Meaning the total payoff to "free" me from the property was more than what I sold it for. Is that considered a "capital loss?" How do I reflect this situation when filing my taxes this year?

I got sent a digital camera from the states through the post. Postal chages were all paid for that end, the contents were declared on the box, when it arrives in England all I get is a note saying I owe them 12.90 for a customs charge, and that I have to go pick it up and pay them! Why on earth would this happen?

I am making baskets that contain various products. Due to size and the ability to offer a wider selection I want to repackage some of the products into sample size containers but have printed my own labels to identify the product (still gave the product name credit). With the samples sizes being just a portion of what is in the baskets and the entire basket being sold as a whole, am I able to repackage and include these products.
