Age isn't a factor. If you have income above the earnings limit, you must file.

as long as you have income that requires you to file then you must file....most children only earn interest on savings accounts as there are laws that prohibit children of a certain age from working for a wage....i have been filing since i was 9 years old

you just have to be old enough to work and get a W-2
