Houston,tx property tax question?

okay say that i ended up living in harris county but i rented an apartment..do i still have to pay thoes other taxes if i'm not living in a house?

I live in Texas but not in Harris County. Usually the way apartments work is that the owner of the apartment complex pays the taxes on the complex and the tenants pay their share through rent.
