The land Registry will have the answer in UK. Supply the address and £10 [I think] and ask for an "office copy entry". It is a public document and will at least give the freeholder and may well give the leaseholder. If not the freeholder should supply the details

I think you must mean the freeholder of the property. If so - it depends; if you own the property then you should have been given this information by your solicitor when you bought the property and it will be on the deeds. Otherwise, if you have a managing agent (if the property is a flat) then they will have the details, and if you rent then I can only assume that your landlord will have the details. I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the net as well - probably Land Registry as others have suggested. Good luck.

You mean to say, you gave your property on long term lease and he in turn sublet it to someone else. And you can't trace him ?

Best thing for you to do is to see if he has lodged a caveat on the property at the Land Office or not. If he did, then you may want to contest his caveat (i.e.) if you have a justified reason to do so. Which means you can justify by saying that your long term lease has a clause that it can't be sub-letted to third party or some other binding clause which has not been upheld by him/her.

Once you contest the lease, chances are that he will appear on the scene.

Do you mean freeholder? If so, HM Land Registry website will have the details for sure. You'll have to pay of course.

Check your county's appraisal district's website. Search the property by address and the owner should be listed.
