opportunity to "advance" in marketing, currently I am the receptionist. My question is... is it weird that I don't want to get involved even though it would offer much more pay?? I have no interest in marketing what so ever? I feel like slacker, because I don't volunteer to do projects, etc. ?????????

I do not earn income in Illinois other than this interest - I live in Indiana. Do I simply pay income taxes to Indiana or do I also need to file an Illinois tax form?

You know - gas is 2.59.9 or 3.19.9, your cableTV is 39.95, or 39.99, your computer is 1599, or your this or your that is 59.95 - and I think most of us in our heads go ahead and round it up to the next "10" anyway, so why don't the pricers do so, too? What's the deal with nines?

I invented and patented something a safety system that will increase car safety tremedously and would decrease crash injury rates tremedously. However, I don't want to sell the product rights to lets say, General Motors, because they will steal it from me, and I would get nothing. It would have to be integrated into the car while it was being built, so there average person cannot install it themselves. I am really looking to make a profit. What do I do?

What should I do if I'm looking at a job posting and am not clear on what they're looking for?

The listing has a job capsule section and additional details. The job capsule lists everything I do now in my current job, but the additional details lists what looks like a completely different role (more of a consultant based role than administrative role).

The hiring manager's name and number is listed, would you call it for clarification?

My boss is trying to cover my butt by sending federal and state 6 thousand to try and make up for some of the taxes. I know that this is also considered income. I file for Earned income each yr as well. How much will I receive back or pay into about 15,000 in winnings. 8,000 in gross pay?
