Hi,

Could anybody tell me how much tax has to be paid on any gains produced by an online savings account? An average, a maximum or more precise data would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Our office will be changing locations in the very near future. This gives us an opportunity to have all new colors for the rooms prior to us moving in. I am really looking for assistance in colors for the various rooms. I've read some feng shui and color psychology, but sometimes I read information that do not agree. Here is some information as to what spaces will be in the office area.

Classroom - largest room, where we will teach classes, new and old students
Private offices - all about the same size, approx 10-11x11-12 feet
Reception area & hallway

Classroom to promote learning of course
Private offices to promote productivity, results, success
Receptionist to promote relaxation, calming

Any suggestions as to what colors should be used be great. Links to sites are helpful as well.

One of my co-workers is constantly undermining everything I do. He goes through my work, tells the bosses that I am not doing my job his way, (but it is done right) and talks to me like I am either an idiot or his dog. What do I do, I already went to my boss, and she told me to confront him, which I did, and all he did was lie to my face about it. I am at my wits end, and I cannot afford to lose this job. Besides, other than him, I really like everyone else, the job and company and the bosses are all great.

I hear a lot of people in the Michigan area say that owning a home (sub $200k) is still a better bet than renting, even if property values are sliding. Can anyone justify this idea?

The listing agreement that I have says that the realtor gets a percent of the first years lease rent and thats it. Someone else told me that there are other residuals that are to be receieved by the realtor for rentals in the commercial real estate besides the regular comission for every other year for the term of the lease...is this true? if so how is that figured out?

A lot of sites will offer you a copy of your credit report but its NOT FREE. Often times they will say its free but you end up having to pay a "one time fee". Do you guys know any secure sites or places I can get a FREE copy of my report.

My employer "corrected" the time on the timeclock without notifying the employees. Yesterday, I was early (the same time on my cell phone), this morning I was 2 minutes late. My employer deducts $5 from our paychecks each time we are late for work as part of an incentive program to be on time. I don't think it's fair that they changed the time without even telling us. Is there a government agency that regulates time in the United States that I can recommend they sinc the timeclock to? Do I have any way to get my deduction back?

I am about to finish Uni and want to have a life on the sea; the Royal Navy doesn't appeal, however, as it is gradually sinking (no pun intended) below the waves of government. I'd have to study for another 3 years to get a commission in the Merchant Navy, which would eat up another portion of my life when I could be earning money-

-so are there any alternatives? Thanks!

In the last 2 years I have moved all of my IRA$ into high yield bond funds that invest in B rated bonds, ARK and HYF.
I am 43 and have $160K currently yielding 9.5% and paying $1,260 per mo., which I reinvest in the funds.
I am contributing about $1,400 per mo. that I invest in HYF, which is currently paying the highest yield
I reason that 9.5% is as good as you might expect from the appreciation from an average collection of equity funds, and at the rate I’m going I will have over $700K in ten years
I think the conventional wisdom of a balanced portfolio of diversified investments with an annual rebalancing seems to be somewhat structured to optimize the maximum amount of trades and therefore commissions for brokers.
And if you consider the meltdown that occurred following 9/11 you realize that timing is very important to the value of ones equity investment.
I’m comfortable we the choices I’m making but would love to hear input from anyone who thinks there are huge holes in my plan
