Myself and other tenants of my complex have learned that they are going to began construction right in front of our common area to build a pool, gym and so on. this area leads right into our carport and walkways and to the garbage. early on Monday morning a large flat bed truck came and dumped to very large industruial size bins, I guess to place trash in. no one from management told us this would be happening. we live in a very large complex ..garden style apartments with over 110 complexs it's an older complex with beautiful trees and walkways and garden areas. this construction is happening only to a few of us that live in this direct area. we have asked to be relocated to another unit since many of us have small children and feel this is going to be a hazard area. Management states that we can be moved but must pay the full rent for the new apartment 1560.00. we feel this is a slap in the face and should at least get some sort of discount or pay our normal rent canwetakeanyaction?

I went to look at a condo that was being showed by a real estate agent. I made an offer and a few days later I was told they accepted the offer. The RE guy told me to get working on my mortgage and finding an attorney. A week and a half later after Ive got the ball rolling and paid money for my mortgage app he tells me someone made a higher offer on the apt. I was upset and shoked as I thought they were not showing the apt anymore since they accepted my offer. A few days later he calls to tell me the second offer fell through and Im next in line again. At the same time he mentions needing to fax me a dual agency disclousure form he wants me to sign. The way it looks to me is he should have given me this form the day I looked at the apt or atleast the day I made my offer. He is totally stressing this form now as I have not signed and sent back. He said he will get in trouble if the state asks for it. I still just dont understand why I need to sign this form now. Can anyone help?

Looking for direction to something published on the subject, or general advice.

When purchasing a simple Stock Option, what method should be used to select which month and which strike price?

Sometimes I feel like it's a guess, having no real knowledge on the subject. Typically follow these self-made rules:
-Stay away from the current month unless it's the 1st week (e.g. I would not buy a Jan Option today with only 1 week to expiration).
-Calculate the premium: For Put contract take Strike less the Ask; for Call take the Strike and Add the Ask -the difference to the current stock price is the premium. $1-$2 premium to control an Option for 2 months seems within reason.

I am new to option market. Please help.

Last week, the stock went straight up. Instead of shorting it, I sold the call option (say 10 calls). Today (few days before the expiration), the stock price drops back down, so does call option. I don't hold any of that stock.

What should I do now? buy back the calls to cover? or buy the real stock at this lower price?

Thanks

I'm training to be a teaching assistant in the UK but in the past i've suffered from mental health problems. Is there anyone i can ask or anywhere i can go to find out if these issues will stop me getting a job as a teaching assistant ?. I know schools are, quite rightly, very strict on who can work there.

We currently work 37,5hr week 9 - 5pm with an 1/2 hr lunch break. We are now being forced to work 9 - 5:30pm with a full hour lunch break with no changes to our actual work hours or pay. Effectively we are being made to spend 2,5hrs a week at work unpaid.

I recently designed a 3000 s.f. house with construction drawings that another client would like to build. Because I own the design, I can sell the already completed drawings. But what do I charge...I am essentially selling something that the work is already done. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

My live-in-fiance has HORRIBLE credit, & as of right now we are renting & financing 2 cars. Everthing including credit cards & cell phone contracts are under my name, eventually we want to buy a house, but either way we need to fix his credit. Alot of the debt is unpaid hospital bills (was unemplyed for 8 mnths & in those months he got very ill & no ins.) and some of the debt are from when he was younger & abused credit cards.
He owes a bank $800 & now cant even get a back account under his name.
I would say 1/2 of his debt is from 8yrs ago & the other 1/2 (hospital bills) are current.
My question is should he try to consolidate the debt or just file for bankruptcy. His medical bills are about $12,000 alone. Misc debt is about $5,000.

My credit's pretty good and I recently purchased a house. I just found out about my fiance's financial past - this explains why he still lives with his mother, he probably doesn't have enough credit to rent a place! Anyway, I'd like to know how his crappy financial situation would affect me - evidently we'll never be able to own anything jointly - or at least until he clears up the debt. So, will it lower my credit score? Can I lose my home if we marry (West Virginia, btw)? The home's in my name only, he doesn't automatically get put on the Deed with marriage, does he??

ok back in June last year i get this job that i think is gonna be the greatest oppertunity ever, it was a new salon that was due to open in July, however due to delays i didnt start to october bearing in mind i was never paid until october and i sat waiting around for this job i still hung in there.
now the salon is open im starting to feel this just isnt the place for me. firstly the pay is dismal i mean i travel 3 hours to this job for crap pay when in fact i could get a job nearer where i live for more pay. i was told before we started i would be earning more but seems thats not true.also i find the salon so dis organised i seem to be the only one that actually takes the innititive to clean.when i said about leaving and that i felt it wasnt for me my boss turned around and was quite nasty about it all said that if i wanted to leave fine but i was liable for the training costs which amounts to over £600. am i liable if i dont have a contract that states that. am i being unreasonable

I am on a month-to-month basis with my apartment complex. I agreed to a court settlement of $1500 for outstanding rent to bring me up to date. At the end of this month (approximately two weeks), I want to move out. Not only can I no longer afford the rent (I have a 4 month old son and I am moving in with his daddy), but there are numerous outstanding maintenence issues that still have not been addressed, some dating back to when I originally moved in three years ago. I wrote them a letter stating the maintenence issues and they never responded. I want to pay them the balance of what was determined in court and just leave. They claim that even though I am not subject to lease terms, that I still have to give them 30 day notice which means I must stay there for the month of Feburary as well. Is this true? Help!
