to cut a long story short,.... I went into business with someone, she did away with about £2000 worth of cash & stock, I want to wipe the slate clean & try to pick things up. now I want to change the name I trade under, (self employed) I sell handmade soaps & bath bombs, gifts, (birthdays, mothers & fathers day, xmas etc..) gift baskets, nursery equipment. A little bit of anything really. I am trading as UandUrs at the minute, but would like to change to something more catchy, but with a little sarcasim added, to show I can go on trading without her (bit*hy I know, but hey, thats life) I thought of Me&Mine, & cant think of anything else.

Could someone please help????

I have been renting a condo as a "winter rental" on a month to month basis. The owner and I verbally agreed on the end of April as the approximate termination date, but yesterday he told me to expect a 30 day notice within the next week. This is not an eviction, he just wants his place back earlier than planned. Must he give me until the end of a month to move out, or can he insist that I move out mid-month?

I plan to sell my flat using a letting agency. I simply do not have time to be a active landlord so the idea of someone else taking care of the business for a fee seems appealing. i posted a question about these things on another answers website and every reply was basically along the lines of 'why pay someone to do something you can do yourself'. I fully understand this, however others have told me that for someone with very little time, it may be a good idea. I've heard the negatives, so can anyone give me a positive spin on letting agencies?

I have been in my current position for nearly two months. Working at a place where I have wanted to work since I was in high school. Thought it was going to perfect for me as I was in a job from hell previously. However, it's turning out to be not what I expected, can't make anyone happy, do one thing right, they find 5 things wrong, someone else seems poised to leap on my job at a moment's notice. I can't afford to lose my job, can't afford to take a job for lesser money either...I'm actually kind of a loss at what to do here. Not only that...seems like my boss and another person that I report to are on opposite ends of the spectrum, my boss wants things one way and doesn't understand when it can't be that way. Right now, I'm miserable, and hate to admit to everyone that I made a mistake by coming to work here.

Many people say that you should not own your policy & that it should be in a trust so that it is not part of your estate. But, when you die, it is not in your estate, it goes to the bene right?

Is there a right/wrong, good/bad way to handle policy ownership? What about making changes? if you dont own it, can you make changes if you need to?

Also, in what instance should the bene be the trust or a person?

My girlfriend and I lived together in the same home for all of 2006. The home loan is entirely in my name, the title is in both of our names. How do we claim the interest paid on our tax returns? Basically, can she claim it at all? Can we split it? We both split the payments for the entire year of course. I'm just looking for the right answer WITH a reference. Though probably I'll just end up claiming it anyway and giving her half of whatever it does to my refund. Thanks folks!

I have to write a report for my third year accounting degree about 'how fair is fair value?' I've found a paper by Ernst and young under that title, but haven't found any other sources. Anyone who could point me in the direction of some would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
