I want to claim Bankruptcy but I was told the judge will make me payback all my debt with my income tax return, but I was planning on using the money to hire my lawyer to do the proceedings. Can someone let me know if this true and what is the process for filing bankrupt?

I'm an engineer with no food industry experience and no experience running my own business, although I have worked at tiny start-ups and seen how most of it's done. I spend most of my spare time playing in the kitchen, and everyone who's had anything I've made tells me I should do this. Can anybody tell me how to get started, or what my odds of success are?

Okay, my mom moved out three years ago and left a $400 phone bill at our old house, i just graduated from college and am moving in there, the phone company says they won't give me service even though I have good credit cause she has the bill unless the deed is in my name or i have a formal lease agreement; getting it deeded to me would through her into a gift tax situation and I dunno about having a lease agreement drawn up. What to do?

I'm thinking about buying a boatslip in a new area as an investment. Would I have to sign a mortgage style loan on it (10-30 years), or would it be like a personal loan where I'd have to pay it off in 60 months?

My opinion is the dont have money to give away at all, the are actually using the money they make from phone calls that dont get through, 99.9%+ to ensure they actually make enormous amounts of money . Its a game of chance NO CHANCE , AND SHOULD BE BOTH REGULATED AND INVESTIGATED.

In democracies, the obligation to prepare and disclose financial information requires the approval of the legislature or an authorised standard-setting body. Thus, standard-setting is a political process in which different groups lobby for their interests.

I am going to talk to my future landlord about getting new carpeting in his 1 BR condo that I am about to rent from him at the end of this month.

The current carpets are throughout the entire apartment, 10 years old, previous tenant w/ kids just moved out after 4 years, but the worst part is that they are like a royal blue color.

I told him at the initial meeting that I want to rent the apt. but would like to get new carpeting in there, but he insisted on me seeing it after it was professionally cleaned (since there were a bunch of stains still on it & didn't look good).

I know that if he invests in new natural colored carpeting it will benefit him at the end also.

My question is:
What is the best way to convince him to do this, without me paying for it or pay minimal out of my pocket.

ps - I signed a lease with him already - if I back out, I lose my deposit, but if he backs out I get my money back.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I work for a small company so there are no corporate guidelines or anything...just what my boss (who is also the pres) says. I will clarify with him if needs be, but I'm curious what most working people think two weeks means. 10 days? or 14 days? I'm guessing probably 10, but that doesn't seem like very much...

There is a house I want to buy in a flood zone but once the remapping is done my realtor told me the house will no longer be in a flood zone. Does anyone know when this will happen. I like the house but the stupid flood insurance puts the monthly payment out of our price range. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
