Once again I gotta clean up some terrible answers.

It is NOT your responsibility to prove anything! It's up the the credit reporting agency to prove it. This is all listed in the Fair And Accurate Credit Reporting Act signed in 2003.

The FACRA was passed because the credit reporting agencies had a terrible history ( and still does) of misreporting information on people's credit reports. It also gives you a clear path in getting these problems fixed, and details the penalties if it's not!

What can you do with $1000? Would you like me to show you how to get it?

1) Read the link below, as it details the procedure you must follow to dispute any inaccurate information on your report.

2) WRITE a letter to the credit bureau listing this on your report. Dispute it.

3) The credit bureau has 30 days to investigate this. Since this is a bankruptcy, it's extremely easy for them to do so...just access the computerized database for the bankruptcy courts.

4) If they do not remove this, you now have grounds to sue them in small claims court. You do NOT need a lawyer or credit consoler to do this. Simply show the judge the letter you sent, and explain that this has ruined your credit and is costing you higher interest rates. You will win this case hands down.

Be sure to send the letter by certified mail to prove they were notified of the problem.

if you go to get a mortgage all you have to do is prove that it belongs to your father and not yourself. you can also call the credit bureau and file a dispute stating that it is not yours. when your credit was pulled did they pull it using the Jr? If not that can affect what shows up. I would just call the credit bureau. If you have a copy of the credit report it should be on there. Or just call the agency that pulled the credit.

You need to call all three of the credit rating agencies. Type credit score or credit rating into a search engine (I use www.dogpile.com most people seem to like www.google.com )

you need to contact the 3 major credit unions and will have to contest this bankrupcy, even though it is their mistake you will have to be the one to prove that it was a mistake
