Im buying a home that I already put a deposit on. (Pre-construction) It will be built in 7 months and I have that time to raise extra funds to better my loan. I will put the money I raise towards my down-payment, closing costs, or furniture when the house is done. CDs, savings account, IGN Direct? etc etc etc What is the best way for me to take 1400 every month and make the most amount of money in 5-7 months. THANKS!!

I am opening an ecommerce store, but I want to know if and where you can get your business license and if you need it. How do you apply for a sales tax number? What does getting your business registered means and is that required? I live in the state of Virginia. Is there a site online to do all of this?

I am a dog walker/pet sitter and dog trainer. My client became my friend and I cared for his dogs many many times (I have my calendar of the dates.) He works in production as a grip or gaffer (i forget) got himself in debt and was paying me when he could... It seemed that he was good for his word. I stopped caring for his dogs the beginning of 2006 and moved to another part of town. The last time he paid me was June of 2006. When I contacted him late November or early December, I let him know that his balance was $2600. and that I needed to get some money from him. He has not responded to the email or returned my calls or text messages. I don't know what to do besides going to small claims court which I would rather avoid. Is there something that I could say that might get him to at least return my calls? I told him that I didn't expect it all at once but that I really needed some of the money and would like to work out a payment arrangement.
Still no response.

My mom is 48 and does daycare but she is tired of it and wants to do something else. She never earned a GED because she moved out when she was young because of abuse. How can she get another job, to earn a new skill lets say, and keep her job to pay her bills while she looks for another career. She thinks she is too old to start a new career, I told her 48 is still young. Am I wrong?

I'm planning to major in English; I have a storng passion for words. But I'm not really sure what I can really do with it. I don't want to end up being a teacher or journalist. I don't think I'd be fit for the newspaper. Is there any career out there that I don't know of and requires lots of writings skills?

I need a personal finance software. So right now I'm thinking about either MS Money 07 Deluxe or Quicken 07 Deluxe. But I don't know which is better since I've never used either. So any idea? Any pros/cons about these two softwares? Any other better software for a personal usage?

Thanks in advance!

Preferrably a national search. Certain realtors have their own website, I am looking for a national search sort of like Apartmentguide.com of forrent.com but for condos instead. Your help is greatly appreciated. Stay positive and may life bring you all many blessings. Thanks!!!!!

I just seem to notice more and more job titles with the word engineer in them when I cannot find any engineering aspects to the job role at all.

For example, I have a friend who used to a Technical Support Consultant, but is now a 'Intel Support Engineer', although he tells me he does the same job.

What you you think?

Perhaps someone here with a engineering job title but who does no engineering work could comment too?

I'v designed and built a prototype of a product that can be used to make manufacturing/assembling things easier. It holds parts in any position and can be rotated 360 degrees. I'v tried the "INVENTION COMPANY" route before and found out quickly, what a scam they are. I know filing for a patent is the "smart" thing to do, but who has the money to pay huge lawyer fees to fight a large company with deep pockets. Sure a patent shows its my invention, but its me that has to take them to court. And pay all the lawyers fees. All a large company has to do is change your invention slightly or reverse engineer your idea alittle and make it their own. Anyways, I'm thinking of just manufacturing my product myself and throwing it up for sale on the internet. I dont want to spend all my time and money sweating over a patent. Someone copies it, oh well. That doesn't mean I cant keep selling my own. Comments or suggestions?

I've always had this dream of finding an old farm house with a little farm/ acreage that needed some work. Nothing fancy, and I'm not picky about location. But I'm having a very hard time getting started in my search. If anyone could refer me to any websites that list old houses for sale (besides mansions) or have any ideas on how to get started I would really apreciate it, thanks!
