I need a personal finance software. So right now I'm thinking about either MS Money 07 Deluxe or Quicken 07 Deluxe. But I don't know which is better since I've never used either. So any idea? Any pros/cons about these two softwares? Any other better software for a personal usage?

Thanks in advance!

I've always liked Quicken better. Microsoft Money seems more complicated than it should be. Quicken is easy to use and very powerful too! I couldn't live without it.

I have been a loyal Quicken user for over 10 years. When I started using the program, I was over $20,000 in debt and their built-in debt reduction planner helped me focus my efforts and get out of debt much quicker than I thought would be possible. Today I use Quicken to collect all my tax deductible expenses. It exports data to Turbo Tax every year at tax time and it helps me track my charitable contributions, both from accounts and for cash.

Whatever you choose, take some time to play with it and set aside time every month to balance your accounts so you maintain an accurate record. It can help you set up a budget and plan for life events (having a baby, buying a house, retiring, etc.)

Best of luck with you choice!

I have been using a personal finance software package by Australian business Parcus Group called Personal Finance Associate.
The product is very good & simple to use. For AU$29 it costs, you get budgeting, financial planning templates as well as advanced features that typically cost loads more as separate software packages such as investment real estate calculations (mainly based on rental cash-flow analysis) and some value based shares valuations (based on Warren Buffet's stock valuation methodology)
Their website is http://www.parcusgroup.com
For anyone interested in their own money managment this product is definitely worth looking at.

You might prefer the ease of a software package. I know my parents utilized Quicken for several years. I myself have found it easier to assemble spreadsheets in Excel that are very specific to my needs.
