No, you don't need the deposit slip.
When you make a deposit through the ATM, your card allows the machine to print your account information. You press in the amount of your deposit. All of this is typed by the machine onto your deposit envelope.
It matches what is on your check (account number, name and amount).
The deposit slip only serves as an additional form of checks and balances in case of a catastrophic ATM failure.

Well, it's Friday night, so you can't do anything right now, but come Monday morning, I would be in touch with the bank and explain what you did.
This is for your personal concerns.
They have the check along with the information you submitted with your ATM card so I doubt they are going to be confused with it.

If you signed the check and put down your account number, you should be ok, but I would look online on Monday to make sure you deposit was granted or go back to the bank.

Oh, HALE no. Banks aren't in business to see who they can rip off illegally, they're in business to see how much they can profit on services charges! Seriously though, if your name/ account number was on it it will be no problem. People are basically honest, especially under the spyglass of the federal government.
Don't sweat it, it's happened to plenty of us. Have a good weekend.

You need to visit the financial institution that owns the ATM A.S.A.P. and get them working on finding your check immediately. It make take a few days, but it should turn up.
