Looking for a website or something to get me started in the trucking industry..Just recived my Class 1A, and all that.Just wondering what my best options are?

Right now in the US there is a shortage of some 80,000 drivers. Finding a job shouldn't be to tough. A lot of companies want at least a years worth OTR experience some even want 2 yrs. You might have to start at a company that has a driver trainer. I think Swift has this. There are a lot of companies willing to hire a new licensee teamed with a trainer. You might look in "Transport Topics" and you might try posting your resume on a web site where potential employers can SEE you. Good luck.

I would suggest a company located in Salem Or. if your live in the west. The May Trucking Co. ..good company. One thing for you to know is be prepared to live in that truck to make any money.

If you have an XM radio listen to the trucking channels...lots of good advice otherwise get on line and just check out names when driving down the road...good luck.

try Schneider Trucking..I hear good things about them and a former v.p. from there used to own my house before I bought it from him.
