Amazon makes a killing and is the first on-line shop that most people go to. What else are they ripping us off with?

I have a question about Starbucks' statement of cash flows, in each of the past four years, the statement provided by various websites list Starbucks as having an increase in Cash and Equiv., but on the balance sheet it shows a decline in cash from 2004 to 2005, how is this possible? I thought the purpose of the statement of cash flows was to explain the change in this asset? here is a link to Yahoo's finance info on Starbucks : http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=SBUX&annual

I would like to know typically what should be included in carpet area especially space occupied for balcony, service area adjoining dining or kitchen, lift (if it is in the center of the building). Should these areas be included in carpet area or plinth area since they actually come outside the plinth area. But we end up paying for the same. Should we pay one uniform rate for carpet area and other than carpet area which comes under super built up area? Also, is there any standard ratio of super built up area over carpet area?

I am currently unemloyed and am looking for a job, my problem is that I keep getting a bad referance from my last employer. It is not from the HR dept it is from the office manager who took my place, she fields the calls so when they call to ask about me she takes the call and gives me a bad referance! I hired this chick too! I know this for a fact because I have called asking about myself and heard the nasty things she said which were compeltly untrue and well she wasnt even my boss, she was my employee,

What can I do to make her stop this because it has cost me more then one job.

How do you stop someone from giving bad referances that are not true?

Both of my parents grew up there and my mothers childhood house was just torn down my fathers was torn down a long time ago (it was even one of the very first tear downs they put a church parking lot there). His parents bought a nicer/ bigger house in the town. Any ways my question is why does Hinsdale allow for all those tear downs? Imean all the other surrounding towns dont allow it as much. My parents say they would never move back because its not the same. The are considering moving to a near by town.

I was not required to see a judge or pay a fine. Is this being "convicted of a crime?" on job applications?

a search for investors!?
if I placed ads in several news papers would I likely get at least one person willing to give me money to invest?

the add would be some thing like this

20 year old student seeks investor to be real estate partner. I do work you bring money. 45%(me)/50%(you) big projects will be 50/50
(my phone number)

what do you think?

I live in Oregon so I was thinking the Oregonian, what ever the Washington equivalent is and my home town paper.

I need an investor because I don’t think I can get any government programs for what I want, and none of my friends or family have the money to spare.

i have no credit (yeah 0 no good no bad) and no job (full time student) all i do it work out, go to my college classes and eat so i have time to invest just no money...

I have specifically asked not be be put on nights, and here I am. The worst part, I can't just quit. I just relocated here which the company paid $30k for and if I leave now, I have to pay that back. I can leave in 2 years and not have to pay anything.

what do you think is more profitable in the long run. To open a store and sell or to just put your product up for auction on ebay? This is to raise funds for a charitable cause. So to put things up for auction makes things more visable but if it doesn't sell then that is money lost. If we open a store, then eventually it will sell but perhaps we don't make as much on it as we could since there is only a set price. Sell something for $10 or put it up for bid and make $100 or $5. I guess I simply don't know what is the best way to go about it.

Assuming you have made a tentative career choice, composed a plan, and have identified jobs that will help you achieve your plan, how are you going to convince an employer to cooperate with you on your plan? How can you make yourself look more appealing to a prospective employer? What is it that employers are looking for? What skills do you have that a prospective employer wants? What types of skills do you still need to develop?
