I live in Switzerland with my wife who is Swiss (I'm American). We were living in the States and came here so she could finish her Masters, which for Administrative reasons she couldn't finish in the US. My plan has been to go to Medical school, which wasn't a possibility in Switzerland untill recently. I've been studying Biology here getting my premed courses out of the way and now the laws just changed and I've been accepted into medical school here for next year. I really wanted to go back to Seattle and study where my family lives (my wife and I want to settle there). But here medical school is free, and if I get my degree here I can work there too, but if I get my degree in the US I can't work here. Also, my wife just got a really good job in radio. If I decide to start here that means we'll be here another 6 years. We've been here two already. What would you do? I think for the sake of my wife's career, she should work this job for at least a couple of years.

Just seen the news of this on the Yahoo page and am most disappointed. I was really hoping they would allow for this, but at the same time, didn't think the governement would let £16bn a year slip through their fingers. What does anyone else think?

I purchased a car worthy £2000 and I purchased a comprehensive insurance policy. Some of my friend said that we will not claim (1) losing no claim bonus (2) the car compensation only say £500. They suggest me to increase the excess to $1020 in return for the refund of £94. Is it worthwhile?

I lost my job 4 weeks ago but have so far managed to keep myself afloat by wagering pool and hustling cards in the pub. My rent and bills for month are paid, I'm spending most the day in the pub enjoying myself and none of my income is taxed. Wot motivation do I have in getting a job?
Is "pub-goer" not a legit profession?

My monthly income is 21k. I would like to invest around Rs 3500 pm but really dont know where to invest. The purpose behind investing is Tax exemption and better returns. I spoke to some of my friends they advised me to invest Rs 2000 pm in JEEVAN ANAND (LIC) and the rest (Rs 1500) in HDFC Ulip (HDFC unit linked young star). Can i be suggested whether the above mentioned plan is ok or still i can go for some other plan (may be with some different funds etc)?
