I was interviewed by a company overseas and the hiring manager gave me his cell phone number at the end of the interview to call him to find out about the status of my candidacy. The position wasn't going to start immediately. Is he going to hire me or did he just give his number as an incentive to get himself out of the situation politely ?

Do you think its unfair that you can be turned down for a job for being "Over qualified". I was an HGV Auto-electrician for 7 years and decided to change my career and i am now studying to be a Web Designer/Developer, i went for a part time job as a delivery driver to pay for my tuition and was turned down because of the job i previously had and what i was studying to do, basically saying i was over qualified to drive a van. Im confused

The infected site is one of several browsers loaded into my system, and it keeps promting to buy it's spyware because of the infection of my harddrive, My harddrive is as clean as a hounds tooth, I clean sweep after every internet exchange with my private spyware removal system, but evey time I try to use the internet explorer site it is infected, like I said, any ideas out there? Right now I have it blocked by default, to keep someone from poping into it and being surprised by the nature of the add.

I am a contractor and I get paid hourly; however I have been working overtime (>40/week). Federal law state that you should get overtime if worked over >40 hrs. Is my company violating the law by stating that I don't get overtime?

Here's part of the wording:
"...the company hereunder, during the term, the company will pay the contractor at a rate of $54/hour, all hours worked. "

I sent several letters with old 37 cent stamps twelve days ago. So far, none of them have come back--but they didn't all have return addresses, either. I work in a factory which employs 600 people,most of which do not speak english and do not know the fire drill as they have never been involved in one,the reason they have never practiced one is because the company have not practiced a full fire evacuation drill for about 3 years and the foreign people that work in the factory (400-450 ) have not been employed by the company for this amount of time.is the company breaking the law.

developer .. has almost noble coonotations

why should this word be used for destroying green land and ransacking the natural world for profit?

would desecrator be more a apropriate designation?

of course we cant totally blame desecrators of the past for They Knew Not What They Did.
but modern despolers know exactly what they are doing and what they can get away with, within the law.

i have a system for generating electricity that is green and at least 100 times better than wind or wave powered ideas currently in use.this idea has not been proposed by anyone in the past.it is a brand new way of generating power.like all the best ideas it is incredably simple.the answer is staring us in the face.no nuclear waste to dispose of.no carbon emissionsno fossil fuels(in time).from a business standpoint ,how would you like to have a factory full of employees working all day to manufacture your product,and at the end of the day....pay you ten times the cost for your product EVERY DAY....I have tried and tested this idea ,and it works realy well.i suppose my question is?where do i go from here?
