My employer has multiple pay rates for workers doing exctly the same and equal work. Only diffeence is that they pay the 5day a week worker substantially more per hour than the 3day per week one. Both positions are with benefits and are scheduled positions.
The workers are of the same sex, workload etc is equal as are the other medical benefits. They are just trying to force a labor staff of "full time" 5 day weekers (without regard to family needs or restrictions.) Is this legal under the equal pay act ??

My boss is useless. She has dreadful time management, she strolls in when she feels like it, she daydreams a lot of the time, and because she's there after everyone else she thinks she's wonderful. If she managed her time better she could go home like the rest of us at the normal time. She is never wrong, she doesn't see bad in anybody (which is frustrating, and it's because she can't do confrontation) she twists things so it makes you look like you've got the problem. It's getting me down, I've worked with her for 19 years, and she's getting worse. I need the job, so don't tell me to leave. Positive answers please.

He trades about four or five times a day (he's a second year college student at UvA)J...average time in market is 13 minutes. He only make about $200 a day...after loses and commissions. I'm afraid that even though he is doing okay, it will wear thin, especially if he incurrs a big lost.

I have knowledge in electronics, computers, art, music, or food-related. Those are the industries I would probably have a good feel for. I don't know where to begin looking for a wholesaler or distributor. I would be starting very small, less than $1000 inventory. I will be selling online. When you do google searches most of the stuff you find is bull$hit to ensnare people into get-rich-quick-schemes.

If you have experience buying wholesale and selling retail online, I would appreciate input.

I made a deposit yesterday in a passbook savigs account. I never get a receipt, just the passbook entry. The teller told me that the previous entry was wrong., crossed out the entry by pen and entered an amount by hand which was $400.00 less. When I protested, she said that the passbook is no more than a glorified typewriter and without a receipt there is nothing that I can do. Before I call the N.J. state dept of banking, does anyone know what the law is pertaining to this situation?

Everybody should have to write a check for their taxes, not a payrole deduction. Once you actually see how much money you do not get, there will be changes.

My husband and I talked to a Rep from Primerica last night. I've been trying to find out about the company, like whether we should actually invest or get term life insurance. Almost all of the bad stuff I find is about working for them and not making money, and all the good stuff is from people who work for them and make money. We don't want to work for them, but are they a reputable company to do business with?
