I recently ripped a dollar bill. The rip isn't signifcant (about 2 inches lost) and the ripped part is lost somewhere in the vending machine.

Is this dollar bill still usable?? It's not much, but I don't want to trash it.

I went through a divorce and had to file bankruptcy almost 4 years ago. Does anyone know of a place who would offer me a student loan or personal loan for additional education expenses that my federal stafford loans don't cover? Even a credit card that would give me a chance?? Thanks for any help or advice that you can send my way.

I would really like to get a job working for the probation service. I have been to prison and was released 3 years ago. I am now a completely different person to what i used to be and i strongly feel my experiences would help me connect with offenders and send them on the right path. Is it possible to work in probation with a crim record? and if can do it where should i start?

This is a serious question I really do want to help others.

I left my job as a paralegal at a solo pracice in late August to travel, etc. before starting law school next summer out of state. I agreed to go back to work starting January for 15-16 weeks full time before leaving for school. I asked for $25/hr for that period (tax season, busiest time). Boss gave me the following options:

1. $20/hr with OT & health ins (the plan is bad though, $1000 deductible + copays for everything.) I'm not interested in this option.

2. $22/hr with OT, no health ins

3. Salary of $1000/week, no OT, equal to $25/hr full time

I figured the difference without OT between #2 and #3 is $1,800. For #2 to equal #3 I figure I'd need to work about 55 hours of overtime during a 15 week period. Now, last year around March and April there were a few Saturdays (maybe one Sunday for a few hours) I worked OT, plus a few hours late here and there. But I don't think I'd get 55 hours of of OT during 15 weeks.

So, I think #3 is the best option. Any thoughts?
