Do your own essay loser. But I will tell you this before you plagiarize someone else's work. Employee output is a direct reflection of manager input!

The 3 most important points for employees are respect, a sense of accomplishment and recognition. Yes, money is important but not as much as the other elements. Here are 7 ways a manager can impact motivation in employees:
1. Have them participate. Many employees like to take part in the developpment and progress of their company. They also sometimes have great ideas that can make a huge difference for the company. Don't forget that when employees are allowed to participate, they become a team quicker and resist much less. This means you can make changes much easier and quicker.

2. Communicate. Employees like to be kept informed periodically about the progress of the company and employee status. Use memos, emails, the telephone and indivdual and group meetings to keep personnel informed. Discuss regularly with the members of your team, organize a supper or have coffee with them. Let them know if the company is on the right track. Talk to them about the challenges you face (they may have some good suggestions). It is also important to let them know how they are doing. If one person in particular is preoccupying your thoughts, speak to that person and give them a chance to change their attitude.

3. Celebrate group and personal achievements. If you notice that someone is working exceptionnaly well, let them know about it and let others know too. you can do this by letting them know personnally or starting a company newsletter where there will be a section for employee achievements. You would be surprised to realise how hard an employee will work to get their name in the section of the newsletter... You can do the same with a team achievement or you can post a notice on the bulletin board. The more you underscore employee achievements, the harder the employees will work and the more motivated they will be.

4. Fix stimulating objectives. Experience shows that people will attempt to accomplish what you expect of them. If you fix stimulating objectives, your team will work hard to reach them. Fix stimulating objectives and keep everyone informed of the progress in attaining them.

5. Give your employees what they need to accomplish the objectives. No team can stay motivated if they don't have the tools they need to do the work. These tools all include: equipment, internal support, inventary, marketing materials, training, etc. Frustration will quickly undermine your employee motivation if they can't do the job because they don't have what they need.

6. Take care of bad performance. Employees that work hard are quickly demotivated if they constantly see another employee slacking off and getting away with it. It's surprising to see how many managers don't want to deal with these issues because they fear conflict. Instead, they just hope the problem will go away, but it won't... it'll just get worse and you'll lose good people. Tackle the situation... tell them exactly what they are doing wrong and how it affects the other employees and the company. Explain what you are expecting in the way of a change of attitude. Be direct about it. No one can change anything they are doing wrong without knowing what they are doing or how they are expected to correct the situation. Explain the consequences of the employee not changing attitude. Be explicit. If the attitude can get them fired, they need to know it.

7. Teach by example. If you want employees to be respectful amongst themselves, they will be.... if you are respectful also. It's the age old saying that works: practice what you preach. Don't ever forget that as a manager, you are a role model for your employees.

Almost everyone has heard of the classic "there are two kinds of management techniques" thing----one being the carrot --the other, the stick-------But a very good friend of mine has his own view of all this and says that there IS a third entry into this list----that being--- the carrot stick ----which he claims is the absolute best technique of all !!
The stick--is the technique used to "drive" employees to a goal or performance level while the carrot -- is the technique used to "entice by way of reward" to the same desired conclusion-------my bud says that because a work force is usually comprised of people who are from very different mindsets and motivational levels--almost any work group will have a certain number of people who can only be motivated by one of the two methods and to use any ONE of the two will leave the other type of individual either unimpressed and unmotivated OR alienated by any single method used------ENTER the carrot stick which he says takes considerably more effort from management to impliment-- but --- ultimately more effective in the end result--it is a technique whereby the manager learns the individual responses and motivational switch points of each person on the team and applys what methods are needed to move that person to the performance level expected !!

But-- to settle the original question here---What impact CAN managers have---the ultimate answer to this is---they DO have almost Majority Impact Quotion on the motivational levels of employees---If the workforce has respect for management and are treated in what they feel is a fair and balanced way and are lead through the maze of the end game OF their task by someone who is fair and mindful of THEIR concerns-- a work team will usually perform at peak levels for a very long time and have a fairly good feeling about doing so

An organisation is only as good as its worst employee and this includes managers. In essense, a managers job is to throw enough **** and hope that some of it sticks. They are in the most volatile job as seen with soccer clubs because the are employed to maximise the levels of performance of employees through guidance, motivation and ensuring the right resources are available for employees to perform well. A focused, dedicated and realistic manager can rub off on employees who can get enjoyment out of seeing him do well by them performing well.

if the management are cagey it can have a bad impact on employees motivation, as it does where i work. they're always talking quietly and looking over at us. this makes us feel like there's something bad going on that concerns us. other than that, if the boss doesn't treat people with same respect as other members of the management team then we start to fell less worthy and don't want to communicate any more.

We aint here to do your homework, ya lazy get. But obviously they do have a lot of impact - thats just common sense so start there........and if you have any intelligence you'd know exactly what to write:

You want 3 para's:
Yes, they have impact........how&why......
No, they dont have impact.....how&why.....
Conclusion.

Easy as that, should take you about 10mins!!
