I seriously need to find out as much as I can on these companies as this could allow me to get a new job.they want some body who knows them...my future depends on you!... :-)

Why don't you search for like companies on the internet as they will probably advertise exactly what they do? Basically you hire them for an event and they will provide a certain degree of service (depending on what you pay for - they may provide food, drinks, waitress service etc)

Isn't the name self explanitory? A contract caterer or catering firm will be hired on a contract to cater for indivual events or companies!

Provide food [ catering] to other companies eg Air Lines, et al on contract basis.

they provide catering for another company if you do a search on line for contract caterers it will give you details of all the contract caterers
