I have recently joined a large investment bank and I would like some advice. I have joined a desk where my two bosses do not get on which has created an extremely difficult working environment. I returned from an exam yesterday to find that another employee from another desk has been given the task of helping one of my bosses whilst I was away. She is in a difficult situation with the firm and has one last chance to impress. This person has COMPLETLEY taken over my position and even my boss has stopped including me in emails. The other boss is on holiday but he does not talk to me and was the one I liked least out of the two. I have spoken to the perosn in charge of my job and she has informed me that the person who has taken my job is here for 3 months. I am meeting HR at 1pm. What do I do? Leave after 3 months?

Firstly it seems confusing that you have more than one 'boss', there should be one person to whom you are accountable. I suggest you ask HR to clarify exactly who is your boss and what are your responsibilities. If you are expected to take instructions from more than one person there should be someone who can make decisions when you receive conflicting instructions.

Its the government web-site and has an Employment section.

Haven't the foggiest what you're on about, but when someone is being excluded, it is known as 'exclusionary' and they can be reported. It is illegal to exclude people
