what do you think is more profitable in the long run. To open a store and sell or to just put your product up for auction on ebay? This is to raise funds for a charitable cause. So to put things up for auction makes things more visable but if it doesn't sell then that is money lost. If we open a store, then eventually it will sell but perhaps we don't make as much on it as we could since there is only a set price. Sell something for $10 or put it up for bid and make $100 or $5. I guess I simply don't know what is the best way to go about it.

Stores cost money to operate per month plus they charge more for your final value fee on top of your listing fee and they arent included in searches as prominent as auctions. Its better to do an auction because you get more exposure for your money. If you want to sell stuff flat out you can do it as a fixed price buy it now instead of an auction.

i think it's better for it to be auction. that way people can find it when searching on the topic. you might also want to sell when there is 10 cents listing or 20 cents fixed price. they have them once in a while and you can save a lot of $$$. opening a store is a bad idea. i usually have to put it in auction after a month of selling it in my store. but if you know the item will definitely sell open a store. do half auction and have store inventory. Hope this helps. .

Do both methods at the same time.

1) List products for sale in your ebay store ei - create your inventory and lisings.

Now to get people into your store:

2) "Send to Auction" from your store. at let's say half the price as starting bid.

Your delemna could be if it wont sell in auction, its hardly going to sell in your store. It can be a long wait for a buyer to show up and pay asking price.

Plus you may not want whats in your auction to be in your store because you want the price to run up.

On the other hand a buyer would like to know he is not overpaying and would like to see a typical purchase price as in your store.

Try different methods to see what works.

Maybe nothing will work, personally I tried many ways, now I just closed all ebay activity after one year. A fast rise to power seller, then nothing. My viewpoint now is ebay is a liquidation center. People come and go, products come and go, maybe new hot electronics do well but otherwise........
People love the bargain, hopefully not at your cost.

if the product you will sell is in demand then go for the fix price or open a store but if not then better go with auction

hi, based what you're searching for for or attempting to sell there are some solid web content available. while you're lookingto sell and/or purchase abode progression, redesigning, techniques etc...there is one called Blue Collar Auctions. it somewhat is such as eBay yet way low fee! it somewhat is greater present day yet nicely worth a try. I even have been itemizing and been chuffed so a good distance!
