I work in a branch of a chain restaurant company that may be shutting soon down due to several reasons. The reasons are irrelevant but, I do know that with the exception of management the rest of us will get the axe. Now, does anyone know if it's standard for companies to give severance packages? And if so, for how much?

I have change jobs for times already. But sometimes I still feel unhappy with the work, even though I have chosen it in the first place. I read from books that its not the job which is the problem, but its the person. Can you give ur opinion on this?

I was wondering whether or not it would be a good idea for me being 17 with no credit history to get a credit card and start using it for like 50-100 dollar purchases so I can start establishing a good credit report now for the future. I was planning simply using it for those ranges of purchases, not for like plasma screen TVs or anything above $100 or so that I couldn't pay off as soon as the bill arrives, plus I was going to pay it long before it's due date. Does this sound like a good or bad idea or something risky?

I have a question about profit disbursements to members of an LLC. We have it set up so that we will each get a weekly disbursement for particular duties performed and then would like to do a jumbo disbursement at the end of the physical year to each memeber.

I have been doing some reading on profit and loss disbursement and I am a little confused. It says we can do a "Pass-Through" taxation where the profits and losses are passed onto the members.

What I need to know is:
1) Can we withhold income taxes, etc., from each disburement and pay that quarterly? Or, is each member responsible for doing that themselves?
2) The rest of the money in the account that is profit and operating revenue, do we have to pay quarterly on that too or can that wait until the end of the year? If we have to pay out on it quarterly how is that done?
3) How is the profits & losses split up between the two members on their individual taxes? I don't understand how that work.

Thanks in advance!

The first is a secured card, the second is unsecured with 0% APR til April. The first has a very high APR and I would like to close it. What happens when you close a secured credit card account. Can you pay off your balance with the collateral money used to get the card or do you have to pay the balance off and then wait for them to send you the money? Also, does closing a credit card account, even paid in full and having been only opened less than a year, give you bad credit?

What is the job title of peoples that work for the military or government agencies that track enemies using satellite images. or the people that use databases in the computer to find answers to real time problems? If you've ever seen the show Criminal Minds, i was thinking of what the girl does that stays at the computer and looks of information for the agents. Is there a title for these kinds of professions?

I'm 23 years old and I've applied for a bunch of credit cards over the past six months, now that I have my first real job out of college and want to establish some credit. However, every card I apply for rejects me because I have no recorded credit history. I can't even seem to get one of those gas station cards.

Sorry if this question gets asked a lot, but I'm tired of getting rejected left and right.

I really don't know what I want to do. I really like computers and technology but i don't really want a boring job, i need excitement. I've been trying to brainstorm on careers that mix the two and i was thinking of working with computers in the military or a federal agency or something. But is that even possible? It just sounds weird. Can I get a degree in something and go to NSA, FBI, or CIA or something? anyone have any ideas?
