A lot can happen in two years. Anyways, what's in Detroit? Did you tell your dad you want to stay in Lawton?
Your friends you can always stay in touch with, worst case scenario. As for your girlfriend- like I said, a lot can happen in two years. Thats a long time in a relationship at that age.

You would be 16 or 17 by then, so why don't you just stay there on your own? i moved across the country on my own when i 17. i paid all my rent and bills. I had a full time job and i didn't have a car. I saved over $6000 in one year at minimum wage and i finished high school on time. i wasn't even that good of a student, and it wasn't super hard.

I can't help you find your dad a job but I can tell you this. We too had to move. My daughter lived her whole life in her home town of Elkhart Indiana. She was horribly upset. However after we moved she discovered a wealth of new friends and even came to love her new high school. She kept many friends from her home town. I'm not saying it will be easy but if you do have to move remember you will be 18 and out of high school yourself and you could always go to college in OK. Best of luck to you and your family and tell your dad THANKS for all he did.
