i just had it done on saturday, its on my forearm.. ive been using dial antibacterial soap (the foam kind) and lubriderm lotion (with oat extract).. anyway a large area around the tattoo is red is this normal?

I just got a new tattoo and I was wondering what is the best way to care for it? It is on the top of my foot it is a rosary that goes around the ankle to the top of my foot. I have been using the brown A & D ointment is that right? Help this is my investment.

Ok so I'm 14 but for my 15th b-day I'd like to get my belly button pierced. Not because every one is doing it or anything like that but I like actually like them and stuff. My dad says to wait until I'm 16 but the thing with that is I want it this b-day not only because I cant wait but because I might be joining track next yr. and NO jewelry aloud or anything and my b-day is during track season so I wouldnt be able to get it pierced. I'm trying to convince him with everything I got including I'll even pay for it and it'll be on my own b-day so I think that's kinda generous you know? but like what should I do because I cant wait till I'm 16 I would either have to do it after track season but then I have cheerleading and stuff so that will make it worse or now when I'm juss managing track instead of actually doing track so I wouldnt have to do anything you know? Because all I'll have to do is carry stuff hand out water and write out distances, etc. so what should I do and am I too young?

Got my first tatoo yesterday, great experience--very little pain. However, last night sometime it started burning much like a sunburn, it's located on my hip and got stuck to my pants and I had to pry it off. I just figured this was a normal part of the healing process but today the burning sensation has lasted the whole day and when I went to look at it just now, it is very puffy and red extending two inches all around the tattoo. I've been following the after-care instructions and applying a fragrance-free lotion which only makes the area more red. Not sure if I'm having some sort of allergic reaction or possibly getting an infection(if so, what's the next step?) or if this is just a normal part of the healing process. I've looked on the internet and found mixed information, any help would be appreciated :)

I am planning on getting my first tatto but i'm a little uneasy about how its going to hurt. Is there anything i can do to lessen the pain. I've heard of a lotion that you can put on your skin to numb it, anyone else heard of this?

I am thinking of putting them on my inner forearms, mabey one on the neck. I am NOT putting anything on my face. I might do a sleeve or something of the like, am open to any good suggestions.

I designed this really awesome tattoo. It reminds me of a very fun trip I took 7 or so years ago, and it also reminds me of my family. I haven't "grown out of" liking anything having to do with the place I went to, and obviously I will always love my family. I look at the design everyday to make sure I still like it. Does it sound like I'm on the right track for getting one I really love and will always love?

i just had my tatto redone like 48 hours ago, it still ozzes when i apply th A&D stuff or wash it, it also has a little ink ozz out, is that normal? also it is raised in some areas more than others will that go down? also once i had a hard spot under the ink and it was like a hard scab, and when it came off the color in that spot was gone, i think it might happen again, it it does what do i do? do i just leave the scab alone then hope it will go down?

hey I have had my first 2 tattoos for 5 weeks now and the scab etc has come off and Ive stopped using the cream I was recommended to, but it sometimes becomes itchy and looks like its going to flake, im now using vaseline which makes it lookmuch better during the whole day, how long should you use products on a tattoo after you got it done?

I will be buying a tattoo machine soon, and my best friend sai she wants a tattoo from me (we are 16), since I have drawn pictures on her before and she liked them. So I want to know where do I get the transfer paper? How does it work? When drawing the picture (she wants a fairy with colour) is it just lik regular drawing, or is there anything specifically different? Any general tips?
