I have 9 tatts myself, but my best advice is to wait until you are done growing. When you grow, your tatt will stretch out and never look right.
Spend the time between now and then thinking about what you REALLY want. I know the things I loved when I was 13 years old are not the same things I love now.
Try out some different fake ones and wait a few years. It will mean all that much more to you when and if you decide to get one.

First of all, you're 13, you don't need a tattoo and you really shouldn't get one because its a guarantee that you'll regret it in a few years. I think you are too young to be getting a tattoo for the right reasons.

If I had gotten a tattoo at 13 like I wanted, I'd be ripping off my flesh and so pissed that I got something stupid and meaningless. Your life is going to change a lot in the next few years. I think your hormones have you thinking all crazy like.

Second- chances are your mother said yes because its illegal for you to get one anyway; with or without parents permission.

Concentrate on school and worry about the tattoo when you're 18+

You're lack of age is really showing with your lack of common sense. What would you get a tattoo of? Where? Think it's gonna be in a spot not effected by the 10 more years of growing you have?! Think about it, anything you put on with ink is going to stretch and be disdorted. Getting a tattoo is a permanent decision that requires a lot of thought and preperation. Wait until you are old enough to even make those decisions.

I was 16 when i got my first tattoo and my dad had to come in with me, i can't see a 13 year old being aloud to get one.
I'm from Ireland, I don't know the laws of Florida.

Getting a tattoo at age 13 is something you'll regret for the rest of your life. The things you like now you won't like next year, much less in 20 years. You need to forget the tattoo!

your mom is crazy for letting you get a tattoo at the age of 13. i dont recommend it. i have 6 tattoos now, and i am sure if i had gotten one when i was 13, i would hate it now. i definitely do not like the same things i used to when i was that age.

you need to wait. im sure you are doing it so you can be the coolest kid in your school. find a safer, non permanent way to be different. at least for now.

I don't know about the state of Florida but in most states you have to be at least 16 with a parent and 18 to get one without a parent.
I strongly suggest you wait until you are at least 16, what you choose is with you for life unless you get it covered up, or lasered off and that is quite painful and very expensive.

The sourced document lists that there is a parental consent form for minors to get tattoos. It does mention that florida has some "odd-ball laws" but not that these effect minors...

OK you are too young , I Have a tat but I would never agree to a 13 year old getting one. Its something you will have your whole life and whats important now wont be in a few years time..wait till your at least 18 like I did

The only thing I have to say on this is to spend a little time thinking on what you want. I have many tattoos and do not regret them at all but I also thought about what I wanted before I went. You may not regret getting one but you may regret what you got or where you got it at. So before you run off as you as you get your answer sit and think a little before going and also choose your design yourself not out of their books, please.
