i just had my tatto redone like 48 hours ago, it still ozzes when i apply th A&D stuff or wash it, it also has a little ink ozz out, is that normal? also it is raised in some areas more than others will that go down? also once i had a hard spot under the ink and it was like a hard scab, and when it came off the color in that spot was gone, i think it might happen again, it it does what do i do? do i just leave the scab alone then hope it will go down?

Oozing is a sign that you are OVER moisturizing. Leave it alone, stop applying any lotion to it and let it dry out. Wash it once in the mornings and then leave it alone. Its normal enough, not infected or anything odd. Your tattoo can heal jsut fine even if you do nothing to it.

The swelling is part of the healing process, wait til its healed completely before worrying about any raised areas. After healing raised areas are an indication of scarring.

The part that came off was a blood scab and by it coming off early, either through accident or picking at it you've pulled the ink out. Blood scabs form when air reaches the tattoo before it has done bleeding out. The only thing you can do is wait til its healed and go back for a touchup.

Not sure where your tattoo is located.. but the closer to your heart it is, the less oozing.. the tattoo's i have on my foot and ankle oozed for a long time.. the one on my shoulder and lower back did not oozz much at all.. keep a&d on it (but you don't want to put too much, just enough to keep it moist.. after a week or two.. you want to use lotion without any scent to it.. keep it moist.. it won't itch

As far as the tattoo scabbing.. don't pick at the scab.. if you let it fall off on its own - chances are the color will not come out with it.. the areas that are raises - thats just scar tissue.. sometimes that just happens when you get tattoo's redone.. or try to color in areas with different colors that were there before..

hope this helps!

I would call the tat place about the oozing. I have 5 tats, one of them is raised. I went to another tat shop and they told me that it's scar tissue. Most likely they pushed down too hard while giving you the tat. At least that's what I was told. The raised skin will never go down. It's been 12 years for me. I even got it covered up and it's still the same. Do not peel the scab!!!

Keep it well moisturized and let it 'breathe'. You won't be able to control scratching when you are sleeping but chances are it won't itch as much if it moisturized.

I wouldn't worry about patches. They can be touched up later.
