Tattoos - March 2007

ive had my ears pierced since birth, it was done at the hospital. i got other piercings later in life (other holes in my ears, eyebrow, nose, nipple) and have not been able to keep them. the only piercing that i have kept is my tongue. my eyebrow ring ripped out of my eyebrow, i was told my skin rejected it. my nosering had to be take out because it was gold and im allergic to gold. my nipple piercing never healed properly, even after a year it still hurt. my ear piercings did not last because a friend did it for me at her house with a needle, and the other was done at a piercing pagoda when i was 13 with gold earrings.

i really want a monroe piercing, but i'm afraid i'm going to end up having to take out it. am i just allergic to things piercing me? i can handle tattoos, no problem, but when it comes to a piercing, im pretty screwed.

are there hypoallergenic studs i can use?

***spare me any anti facial piercing comments. im looking for a REAL answer.

How many tats do you have. Just give me a number. If you are fully sleeved, count to major tats as one and then calculate how many you think you have. (how do you count filler art, right?)

I currently have 5 cartilage piercings. I really want my tragus pierced but I am afraid of the pain. I also pierced my first and seconds holes in my lobes myslef. Could anyone tell me how bad it hurts to get your tragus pierced? I dont care about the pain afterwards. just when you are getting it done.

My Best friend Kissed my boyfriend last week...they both agreed to not tell anyone and to just forget about it, they still talked though..well I found out and I confronted my boyfriend about it, he started crying saying it meant nothing and he didnt know why he did it, it just happened..she says the same thing, that she doesnt have feelings for him that she doesnt know why they kissed, they just started flirting and it happend...do I kick her ***? do I forgive him? Ive been with him for 2 years and he has never done anything like that...all weekend he has been leaving me voicmails saying he cant live without me and that he misses me and he's sorry and it'll never happend again!!! he sounds serious..but I just dont wanna get hurt again, I dont think he'll do it again, but Im still hurt and cant stop replaying in my head that he made out with and flirted with her, he must like her right?

I got a really bad sunburn this weekend directly on my tattoo. Will this one time really mess it up? Anything preventative I can do now? I haven't started peeling or blistering yet. And yes I have learned my lesson... :-/

All the tattoo artists I know or have known used the term studio since it sounds more professional, and less "seedy".
Some were more anal about it than others. But alot of people, I guess lay-persons say parlor. So, to any tattoo professionals out there, what do you prefer, or do you even care? Just curious.....

That the tattoo category sucks right now? "can you draw me a tattoo?" "I pierced myself, and now it is infected?" "Why do you have tattoos?" "DO TATTOOS HURT?!?!?!?!"

All of this is just irritating me right now. Maybe I need to go lay down. Or start drinking. Or go get another tattoo.....

always have to look terrible as time goes by. As long as you take care of them and maybe at least once in your life get them re-inked if need be, they'll look fine. Am I correct? Any info will help. Thanks!

I am getting it tattooed on my back this afternoon..I got part of my tattoo done 2 weeks ago, and what we were doing was doing a rainbow, and leaving the name in the negative... but the colors wouldnt work, and so we are filling it and and somehow we are going to put it near or around what I have... I can e-mail you a picture, ir you have and ideas or anything, we were trying to make it not obvious...

I have tried playing with word etc. over and over, and I dont like any of it... I was thinking about putting her name in stars near it, or on a bird, or under it, or just over it, and I dont kow what I want

I am getting some ideas together and so is my artist, but I want to have different things to choose from... thanks

or a night out)? I guess I never thought about it because the guys I've dated never said anything & in fact kind of liked mine. Specifically, what do you think about leg tattoos on a girl? Would it bother or embarass you or do you have a similar opinion like me - that nowadays (especially with celebrity's showing up to red carpet events with tattoos sticking out) it just doesn't seem to matter like it may have back in the old days? Opinions appreciated!

it doesn't bother me at all to wear short skirts/ dresses with them showing. I guess I'm just wanting guys' opinions just for the heck of it to see what you think. Are there any guys out there that find it really sexy? Hope so! Thank you!
