I was wondering if it's possible to get your lip peirced with a stud instead of a captive?

Yes, it is possible, but not recommended. Especially with the initial healing period, your lip is going to be very swollen and you're gonna want the extra wiggle room from the captive bead. Plus, it'll be easier to clean while it is still healing. I got mine done with a 14 and I'm pretty sure that's the average gauge to use.

Yes! I had my upper lip with a stud. They did recommend a hoop type .I went with the stud .The stud did keep coming out about every two days. I had to go back,and have the hoop put in.I do advise you to keep it clean,and I used tattoo goo for infection.
Some people have reaction to tea oil along with some ointments.

Yes, it's definately possible. My friends have pierced their lips and noses with studs. And safety pins.

Yes it is possible. You can be pierced with a labret stud if that's what you prefer and usually the jewelry is 14g (some piercers will do 16g, but its not my first choice for this)

Yes, I have mine done, but I warn you that It will have more of a change of taking of your enamal, so I had to change, eating ice cream and cold things will start to hurt, so I suggest just going with something like a hoop, trust me.

facial peircings are gross dont do it. Im not prissy or anything, it just looks trashy and i have my tounge peirced and i feel that way about it. save yourself the 80 bucks and dont do it.
